June SAT Critical Reading

I had black/white cover and my writing was experimental, so I'm sure my reading passages aren't experimental. I remember the following passages:

Short passage
Biographers (double passage)
black women essay

Long passage
giant squid (double passage)
chinese-american writer/mom (20 minute passage)

Anyone remember anything else?

Holy crap. I had a B/W cover, and had none of those!

Vocab was easy, I thought. Either that or I really lucked out.

A passage about motorcycling.

And a horrible HORRIBLE SC question with one of the answers 'lugubrious'. Was it the right one?

Did everyone have the vocab about the offensive aphorisms? And the one about the unstable country?

I hope they were exp.

I had:
Ballet Passage
Yellowstone Park Double passage
Chinese Dad passage
One about African Queenmothers? (short one)

Thats all I can think of. I had aton of double passages, it seemed like.

Cycling I think was either section 5 or 8 for me.

i thought that SC question was voluptuous, cuz it said something about exaggerate brushstroke. Anyone get that question?

^ Maybe Bulgaria had a different test, cuz I had neither of those.

Please, could anyone tell me about the "lugubrious" question? It really bugs me!

^ And yeah, we live at the end of the world so we get different. Ridiculous.

honestly...why do they always have a passage regarding "chinese-american writer/mom"

always comes up !

Some answers I remember from vocab:

(They're not all single spacers, I just can't remember the other word for the doubles)

Parity
Remuneration
Cloistered
Nuanced
Vitriolic
Malicious
Obstinate
Olfactory
Controversial
Complexity

I'm pretty sure I didn't miss any; vocab was way easier than I imagined.

anyone remember the question that had controversial as a choice?

@Flame: I thought it was 'lugubrious' too, 'cause it said something about sorrowful brushstrokes, so I'm pretty sure that's right.

EDIT: wait, maybe it was gloomy brushstrokes... :S but same diff...

I had a different answer than cloistered. Does anyone remember any other options?

i didn't have lugubrious on my test, nor did i have voluptuous.

as mentioned, i had:
Ballet Passage
Yellowstone Park Double passage
Chinese Dad passage
African Queenmothers

i had an experimental math so those are all counting

Parity
Remuneration
Cloistered
Nuanced
Vitriolic
Malicious
Obstinate
Olfactory
Controversial
Complexity

yes. yes. cloistered? i think it was abstemious. yes for the rest.

Was it obstinate? I thought it was obstreperous, or however you spell it.

Yep, I had experemental writing, so those are all counting. I'll let you know if I remeber any others.

those were two different answers for two different questions. Both were correct.

Butternut, it looks like you had a different edition than i did. My edition had:

Motorcycling
Chinese-American writer/mom
giant squid

biographer
black women essay
