I took the physics test in june and found it to be very difficult. I skipped about 18 questions and probably got like 6 wrong. What will my score most likely be. Thanks

According to Barron's, a 45 is usually about a 700, so I think it's safe to say you'll be low to mid 700's.

that would be 25 off your raw score, which would put you at 50 which means (according to the cb book) a 730

is the curve really that lenient. Anyone here take physics before and got like - 25 raw points and still got in the 700's?

yes!! ^^^^ I want to know the answer to this one! I hope it's super generous this time!!
I have answered every question with only one omit, but I think i got 13-16 wrongs..so where does that put me?

3 omit 10 wrong, whats that?

800 probably.

god i hope i only got 10 wrong then

that test was definitely comparable, if not more difficult, than the multiple choice of AP Physics B

what are the chances that the curve is at 59 for an 800 as it is in the CB book??

i'm hoping it'll be lower than 59. i'm hoping more for like 53-54. prays

ok so im gonna take AP physics B next year. if i take this sat in november, will the test be terrible or doable??

terrible. i just finished my ap physics B course before taking the test in june. I am fairly confident that i got a 5 on the AP, but that is mostly because i nailed all of the FRQ's. Only multiple choice on the SAT2, and although i think i may have squeaked out an 800, it really took a lot of critical thinking and pretty solid knowledge of EVERY aspect of the curriculum (and even things that are not part of the curriculum, i.e. fractals)

bco09, what raw score do you think you have right now on SAT II Phys??

Chris2146: Not good don't do it it will not be doable with only 2-3 months of class before. In my entire ap physics b course, we still didnt cover everything. there were still like 7-8 questions that i had no idea on and i was good at physics.

I agree with bc09. It took a lot of crictical thinking and solid understanding to nail this SAT 2, but I"m not too sure what I would get, as u can see from my post above.
and bc09, I was in a similar situtaion with the AP physics B exam. I pretty much did good on FR and nailed nearly all questions, but I think I bombed the MC part. So, if u did really good on FR, but did bad on MC, could u still get a 5?

you NEED to take a full year of AP physics before attempting the SAT physics, unless you plan on studying nonstop until october. though, I think june's physics was much harder than normal.

wildchartermage: you very well could, remember MC and FR are each half the grade
Ephemeral2: totally agree as i said earlier, and even a year of ap physics b may not be enough. the questions are just simply DIFFERENT and STRANGE. and i sure hope june's was harder than normal because i want an 800! lol. but im at a raw score of 59 i think so it would have to be a curve like that in the collegeboard book

so, which ones look better?
a 5 on AP Physcis and less than 800 on Physics Sat 2
OR
4 on AP Physics and 800 on Sat 2?

which ones do colleges weigh more, u think, AP or SAT 2 Physics?

sat 2 wlfkjalfkwjf;lakfawlkfjwa
