June SAT II U.S. History Discussion!

What tests do you think are more accurate, Princeton Review or Sparknotes? I’ve been getting around 640s in Sparknotes’s and 670 in PR’s. Do you think a 700 is extremely unlikely for me?

guys can someone look at those and tell me what you think?

Chief Joseph was the chieftan of the Nez Pierce which was the last tribe of native americans up in the northwest like oregon/washington state area. The only reason I know this is because of an incredibly dull movie my teacher made me watch called ‘We shall fight no more forever’. At least now I know Chief Joseph, right? Haha.

Yeah @treehugga that question was tricky, it was a toss-up between Tecumseh or The Prophet.

We only need an 80/90 to get an 800? Can anyone confirm this? :)

Uh it’s definitely Tecumseh. The Battle of Tippecanoe, which he fought in, was used as a popular election slogan (“Tippecanoe and Tyler too”). The Prophet was Tecumseh’s brother right? No one cared about him lol.

i guessed tecumseh. but my question is, ALL the questions in the book are like that…if i got a 670 in that book, could i break 700?

Is the curve constant from test to test or is it dependent on the relative difficulty of each test date?

I dont want to sound cocky or anything but i have not studied for us history since the ap exam. Just now i took a sparknotes practice test and got a 750. Should i be confident that i can get an 800 tomorrow?

I would say you have a good shot at 750+

Don’t worry, you’re not cocky. You’re a CCer, that carries special privileges as far as self-confidence is concerned.

Does anyone know how Direct Hits did as prep for the Sat II in May? I’m wondering because that’s all I’ve been using to prepare for tomorrow’s test. Thanks!

I just finished my 3rd Sparknotes test, and got a 710! I’m very proud of myself lol. I think Sparknotes really gave me a good review, and studying for the AP US History test a few weeks back helped too.

I’m pumped for this tomorrow! xD

(And I thought the answer to the posted question was Tecumseh, so I guess I got it wrong :P)

This prolly wont matter, and i would ask if it hadnt been on a practice test, but what was the manhattan project developing? Three of the Options were: nuclear weapon, atomic bomb, or fission driven weapons of mass destruction. *** is the difference?

sparknotes tests are harder right?

I used US History in a Flash as my main study guide besides my textbook (American Pagent). I think I made a 5 on the APUSH exam and I got a 750 on the SAT II.

There are posts on the USH in a Flash Facebook page that report scores of 730-800(2 of them). I think you will be in very good shape for tomorrow. If you want to do a little more review the Facebook page has some SAT II tips that are very helpful if you scroll down the page. Good Luck!
