June SAT Math II Thread

so far i only have 1 wrong, maybe 2 if the last question is I and III only (I put III only)

I omitted the one about the prime numbers, and the problem with I II III about sin2x >sinx.
I KNOW i got the number/7 remainder problem wrong.

So 2 omitted, and 1 wrong. Whats a good guess as to how many more I couldve gotten wrong? I could probably get like 2 more wrong and still have an 800.

Okay, I hate 3D/plane stuff. But on the last one, I got III only because I thought the third plane had to be parallel to one of the other planes (I spent a lot of time staring at the side of a table and the floor!).

anyone remember a question where choice (E) was “undefined”? (E wasn’t the correct answer, I just remember that it was a choice)

how can III be correct? if it is parallel to one of the planes then it would have intersected line r as well but it said only planes M and N (maybe wrong letters) intersected line r.

800math I remember 1 of those being true, III couldnt

I omitted the one about the prime numbers, and the problem with I II III about sin2x >sinx.
it was only II and III

@jrp: It was ln(sin x)=0 what does ln(x) equal?

does anyone know where you can find previous sat 2 math curves?

But if the third plane isn’t parallel to one of the others, wouldn’t it have to intersect the line?

@Ivy it was only II. the equations for III were equal from .01- about .05

@rennir that wasnt undefined

For the last question, imagine the letter “F” being made by the planes. Wouldn’t that satisfy III?

@SccrScrub01 - No, it being parallel to one of the planes doesn’t mean it needs to intersect line r. Try drawing it with everything “coming towards you”, so each plane is a line and each line is a dot. Haha I’m not sure if that makes sense/is useful to you, but it helped me.

Also what was the III inequality for the trig one?

Any predictions on the curve of this test? was this hard?

@ cortana - It was definately II and III.
III said: tanx>sinx
Just graph it from an interval of 0 to pi/2, and you’ll see it holds true.

800math, I spent a few minutes on that last one and got I and III too. I’m pretty sure you and I are right.

@grojos yeah, but “undefined” was one of the choices. I was just asking for the question, not the answer.
I don’t even remember what I wrote for the answer, I probably omitted it. Do you remember what it was?

I know for sure now I got at least 3 or 4 wrong. If I didn’t make any other dumb mistakes I’ll hopefully get an 800, but I probably did. I’ll be happy with like 740+.
