June SAT Math II Thread

**** i really want to know how the chart was arranged now, and what the question was

CHART:
--------------------Indiana------US
Lake County Pop.
Total Pop.

you only used the top row because you were given that the person was in a Lake County and then asked the probability that the Lake County the person is in, is the one in Indiana

YES!! im almost completely sure thats right

how hard is the curve

k what was the problem where it asked about how far the people were from each other???

@born2dance lol they were all 6 or 7 digit numbers, I don’t think anyone could recite them back to you. I think the answer was like, 0.3-something?

it was the one with the triangles and the different angles of elevation. i got 60 for that one

at jrp: i think it was .27

do you remember the exact angles or roughly?

the numbers in the top row were 4(8?)x,xxx and 1,(2?)xx,xxx

it was like 32 and 45, and the tower was 100 feet tall

@grojos and @jrp1234 but why would you divide the population of indianas lakeside into the total lakeside population of the country? wouldn’t that not be solving for what they asked for?

i got 60 also it was like 160 feet and then 100 feet so the difference

The Lake county problem answer was .32.

The answer to the building and car problem or w/e was 60 feet.

@born2dance when choosing a person from any Lake County, the probability of choosing someone from Lake County, Indiana was the number of people from Lake County, Indiana divided by the number of people in all Lake Counties in the US

the answer was 30 for the question what number can n be when n^k/180

Born2dance,

The question was:

Given that a person in the US IS from a “Lake County”, what is the probability that he is in Indiana. So we know that he is in a Lake County, so we take the number of people total in the US from a city by name of Lake County, and put this as the denominator. The population of the city of Lake County IN Indian then goes on top.

That value is .32

@born2dance the undefined option was or the lnsinx=0 problem

i gtg for an hour

@ grojos - thanks for the heads up.
