June SAT Math II Thread

are we positive there was a restriction? just making sure. i don’t remember that it couldn’t be pi/2

@llazar
you are a boss!

@llazar thats what i put!!! so far i know i omitted 3-4 and only 2 wrong. in the first few pages of the topic, people said a different answer to this so i originally thought it was wrong.

do you guys think that this cut will be higher or lower than normal?

I think the cutoff will be -43

almost no one said that they thought it was particularly hard, so I think there’s probably going to be a “normal” curve or lower  but technically we can’t know for sure- CC doesn’t represent everyone in the US who took the test

thanks guys, appreciate it

i think it will be 43 or 44. the test had a few random tough questions that made no sense to me. but many of the other questions were relatively easy. i hope i didnt make any careless mistakes.

What if your raw score is 42.5? If the curve is 43, would it be considered an 800?

Jrp,

Haha, so true. CC isn’t even close to the norm, hell it’s no surprise we haven’t been complaining about it being overly difficult. I think this test was a lot more conceptual, and that can be more or less difficult than usual depending on the person.

Plus the curve changes are really minimal. The deviation is +/- 10 points. Not to mention, most people are saying it was easy/hard comparing it to practice tests, because it’s not like people typically take subject tests more than once.

Anybody got a consolidated list going?

does anyone remember the choices/more info about the bacteria question?

I got 26 hours for that one.

yes i know the answer but i dont remember which choice i picked. more info would be helpful…anyone remember the actual function or anything else?

It was option D and the bacteria doubled every 1.17 hours with an initial population of one.

Can someone explain the question that had the car travelling on a level road towards a building with a height of 100. The question asked for the distance travelled between changing the angle of elevation to the building from 32 degrees to 45 degrees.

Legit had no clue on this one and omitted it, one of my 2 omits. i think i have -3 and 2 omits so hoping for that 800 or 780+

did “t” stand for the amount of time it doubled?

What was the question with the answer as “undefined?”

hey yankey, i just drew the triangle and used sin32 to find x, and then sin45 to find x, and then subtracted them. I remember that none of the answers matched mine, but one was pretty close so i just went with that. I’m hoping that my calc was in degrees mode though…
