June SAT Math II Thread

Maybe if we all hold hands… Sing kumbaya, and then send a really angry email to ETS, with like, 10 frowny faces!!

@clandarkfire hitchhikers guide to the galaxy

and if the absolute value equation was .18=1/abs(x-2) then it was definately -3.56

For 3 I thought it was A… which is the mean gets shifted one…

It was definitely standard deviation that doesnt change. How could the median NOT change??? Lol. The median is a value in the set, and since every number in the set is added or multiplied, then the median changes.

I agreewith grojos, it was definitely -3.56.

For the bacteria one did you do the equation and then multiply the number you got by the first one which was given?

edit: BTW straight from Barrons I remember reading that if you add a number to all numbers standard div. doesnt change.

You know what guys? I feel like there could be a be a chance, might it be slight, but a chance that the curve could be 42. I feel like people didn’t do as well as they claim, and remember, this is CC, not the “real” world. The “real” world definitely do as well as us here.

I agree with stone, this test was harder than the ones in the Official study guides released by CB. I have 5 wrong so far with 0 omits for 44 raw score so im hoping for 43 minimum for 800 in case i get 1 more wrong.

Stop rationalizing, may I remind you of the super difficult slope problem. The curve is what it is.

^Plus, they curve based on the results, mean, and other factors on the test–it’s not pre-set before, right?

Aaaaactually they don’t look at the results unless and obscene number of people got a question wrong (like 95% or something, especially if it wasn’t one considered ‘hard’)

^your making me feel hella bad :(

Predicting:780-800

Raw:42-44

predicting 760-770
raw: 41 raw

yeah dancing bear what the f man why wouldnt the curve be 42?

so i have 2 omit and 1 confirmed wrong. how many more can i expect to get wrong? ive checked everything in this thread and so far nothing else is wrong. except i dont remember what i put for like 2 of them

@theeboy hope for the best, expect the worse.

****, i got a 42.25, is there any chance the curve can be 42

I don’t think my raw is any less than 45 but who knows, really.

Did everyone get 2 is a prime number for that logic question? And that one with the trig functions and the greater than signs with roman numerals (was in the 40’s), was that like II? And the one about -sqrt(2) and sqrt(3) or something like that was -.32 I think.
