June SAT Scores Are Up!

780 math 2c. should i retake since it looks like most cc people get 800s on it.

780 math 2C-damn
800 USH

800 math iic
790 biology m
790 u.s. history

wow you guys are insanely smart. i was happy with my 760 bio M although i did really want at least a 780

Should I retake a 2250 on SAT 1? I'm aiming for top Ivy's

M-800
Cr-750
W-700
essay-10
mc-690

I got a 2310 this time, 800 WRiting :)

610 french - this is without studying at all, just the knowledge from 3-4 years of french.
790 Math IIc- I would just like to say that Barron's is my lifesaver: I only spent 3 weeks studying, in total, for this test, and took 5 or 6 Barron's practice tests- i still had to go to school (my last day is this friday) and i had a HUGE project that was due the day before. Oh, and when i took it in May i only got a 650 (with no studying)- 140 points higher in less than a month! So Barron's is the best thing ever.

zzzsleepzzz : Good job on your Biol M score. sigh wish I were you.

Biol M - 750.
Retaking in october.

CORRECTION: I did NOT have 2250...I recalled march's score wrong this morning
I got 710 math, 730 reading, 780 writing for a total of 2220.

They didn't give me the breakdown on my essay/mc for writing. Instead it just said 640, and they left me a message saying:

"Your June 2005 score report and essay will be available on June 25, 2005."

Do you think they could have messed up that score or something (considering my PSAT Writing from last fall was a 720)?

i hope so...cause i can't believe what i got:

CR: 730
M: 690 (*?!?!)
W: 650 <---I got predicted 20/20 on my world lit (IB) paper. and more. *

I hope CB meant 790 and 750..bec it makes more sense since on all their prac tests i got 800M and 780-800ish Writing.

TOTAL: 2070 - i can't get into ivies anymore. oh great. i feel realli down, i'm usually a "strong" person but after these scores, i cried like never b4. I know how ppl say SAT isn't everything.. but it still is a huge chunk that will block me from the ivies ><

After a night of waiting...

CR: 690
M: 660
W: 650 (8 essay)
Total: 1350/2000

Alright for the range of colleges I'm shooting at although not much of an edge. I'm just disappointed with the CR score because I thought I did better and I really wanted a 700 (10 points off! argh) but I doubt I'll retake. Math score a bit of a surprise, improved by 10 points which I thought difficult with the curve but thankfully the hard experimental section didn't count. It's just a dumb test anyway.

way to go Anoel ;)

800 SAT II Literature!

I walked out thinking I'd be getting around a 740. Not really sure what happened, but I definitely was not expecting this! On the SAT II Reals, I got a 750. And I only spent a day prepping.

800 for USH...

CR 560
M 590
W 670

essay: 9

total: 1820

retaking to break 600...i pretty much got my goal just with a little more on the writing then i expected.

math IIC 790
chem 710
US History 680

I'm aiming for HYPS and my SAT Is were good (2350), and the rest of my application should be decent (rank, recs, essays). Is it worth retaking any of these or are they ok?

veechdawg, if you feel good about improving your score 40-50 points or so (or taking other SAT II's scores that you can score in the 750 range) it will help you quite a bit.

but the scores in and of themselves are not bad, but 750's or so would be a big plus. however, if you don't think you can improve on them much don't bother...you have a great chance & it's a crapshoot anyway.

i only got a 640 on writing...61 multiple and 10 on essay.....do u guys have any suggestions for me?? aaaah help

2200

math- 670
