yeah basically the official thread and this thread are polar opposites. this shouldn’t be happening. i checked at 6:30 this morning and was just completely overwhelmed.

I’m in the same boat as you guys.
I’d taken the exam without studying in March and got a 2080 (630M/690CR/760W), and wasn’t too pleased! (Granted, I heard there was a really harsh curve in March…)
For the June SAT, I did a TON of studying and used up all of the tests in my Blue Book. When I took the CR and Math practice tests the week before the test, my scores were a lot higher than the 2060 which was posted at 6 this morning.
I just don’t believe that my scores could have decreased after I did so much extra studying…
But then again, the College Board did allegedly mess up 4000 scores in '06 (<a href=“College Board says 4000 SAT scores are wrong[/url] - Google Search”>College Board says 4000 SAT scores are wrong - Google Search), so let’s cross our fingers that they’re updating our scores favorably!

@liuftw youre not alone on that one so dont worry i checked at 5 and my whole day has been downhill since then. hopefully its something like the 2006 accident

at least you guys had the chance to check… site is still down!

That’s what I was hoping as well… I thought the June SAT was supposed to be easier, anyway!
(For those of you who don’t know about the '06 accident, here’s an article that was posted on one of the threads: http: //news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060308/aponreus/satscoring_mistake. Apparently those kids had “incorrectly low scores.”)

LiuFTW:
There’s nothing like waking up to an incredibly disappointing score, is there?

Sorry to disappoint you guys but the chances that your scores were “incorrect” are next to 0.

no there isn’t. i know my scores are terrible but still a few hundred points makes a huge difference.

If this was like the 2006 incident, when would we expect to find out our “real” scores?

@sabella the 2006 incident took months and the affected people got their proper october sat scores in march. hopefully when the essays are up in a couple of days they may shed some light on this issue, but if not then we’ll just have to wait some more for the score reports or something. if anyone gets any new info please feel free to share?

i just hope we’re next to that 0 percent.

Guys even my scores went down this time when I actually prepared for it!!! Even I hope that there was a mistake with my scores cuz it is sooooo not possible…and yes I will be taking it in October if we have hard luck!! But I seriously think something is terribly wrong in here!

@liuftw same here, i hope there is at least a small percentage that the scores we got were wrong

Yeah, that’s what I was planning to do, too. But that’s so inconvenient, given the fact that ED deadlines are fairly soon after the October test date!

P.S. u guys should check this outhttp://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/154590-college-board-says-4-000-sat-scores-wrong-5.html

i am with you guys, i used to average 1800’s on psats now i got a 1600. my writing was horrible supposedly.

well how did you feel after the test? writing wise?

same for me I got a 2030 last time and this time my score was appalling. I really think there was a mix-up :(

and I’m reading the bible now so…

Guys, I just called College Board to ask about my scores (you can do the same for free since the site is down), and they reported them to be the same as what I saw this morning.

So unless there’s a continuing mixup in the CB system’s record of our scores, I’m afraid we might not have a huge chance of getting our scores “fixed”. I think we might be able to attribute our lower scores to a worse curve (since June’s apparently the most popular test date) :(.

I’ll be waiting to hear from CB about whether or not there’s an error in the scores, but for now, I’ll have to rely on my June ACT scores and study for the October exam over the summer :/.

damn. i guess there was no “problem” there was just a website crash.
