June Science Section

I just got my June test booklet that I ordered.

What score should be expected if someone misses 1 question on the science section? How about 2?

I usually thought that a -2 resulted in a 33 normally, with a 34 in rare circumstances. I missed 2 science and I received a 35 on the test. I am just curious because my friend has been asking me about the act, and I want to help him get a higher score.

For -1, I would say expect a 35. It could be a 34 or even a 36, but it would most likely be a 35.
For -2, I would say anywhere from 32-35. Expect something like a 33/34.

Remember that each test is equated so that a score on one test is (roughly)equivalent to what the same student would get as score on another test.

the June ACT science section had 2 or 3 questions on there that shouldn’t have been on there… most people wouldn’t have remembered the information to answer them (it wasn’t given in the passages and required previous knowledge… the mitosis questions and viscosity one… most people didn’t get those)

i got a -3 on that science section and got a 34… the curve was much more generous b/c most people missed those problems

Haha. I thought I missed those questions too, but it turned out that I got them right, but I misbubbled a question and I misread one.

yeah, i got those questions right too, but timing made me miss 2 at the end b/c i got hung up on the mitosis one for a little longer than i should have taken to answer the question

Peytoncline, I got 3 wrong on the science section in the June ACT and I ended up with a 35 on the section. What?

i got an additional score report, and there are 3 missed questions on science, and i got a 34.. you sure you missed 3?

that’s weird… maybe they messed up my score report

Yep, I got a score report too, and there were 3 mistakes. If it affects your score, maybe you should contact the ACT about that?

even if i did miss 3 and did get a 35 on science, i’d have a 35 still for the composite score (it’d be a 35.25 instead of a flat 35, so it wouldn’t matter)

Wow…that’s amazing. I’ll be lucky if I get a 30-32.
