We have a smart girl, interested in science (biology, chemistry or physics) who would thrive more at a small school and may need some merit money. We keep hearing good things about Juniata, so how would a young lady interested in science do there?
Juniata has a good reputation for their science programs. Professors are engaged and accessible. It’s a small school – only about 1500 students, some would say very small – and fairly close-knit. Campus is beautiful and within walking distance of the small town center. If your daughter has above average to good stats, you can probably expect merit money. Run the net price calculator – we found it to be extremely accurate.
I am a parent who has visited twice with my son and absolutely loved Juniata. The science facilities for a school that size are extraordinary, and the commitment of the professors and administration is very evident. I agree with everything guidedbywire said.
