I Don’t know how much the Ivies weigh sports, but Stanford will give scholarship and recognize sports well.
HYP - reach
Columbia - low reach
Cornell - match

Thanks for all the responses!

@FresnoMom - check your PM

@Jersey13 - There actually aren’t many spots open for recruited players at Ivy League Schools for tennis, and for some reason many of the top tennis players want to attend an Ivy League. I really am around #60 on a public recruiting list that coaches use - it’s not an estimate.

But, I’m curious - tennis aside, what more can I do to improve my chances?

I think that you are definitely competitive so far!
Does your school have a high grade inflation though? You’ve only finished 1 AP class so far so I thought I’d ask. Regardless though, best of luck!

Hey!

I think you’re a very competitive applicant, too. Especially as a junior-- I mean, your stats can only get better from now to your application time, so. I guess once you reach a particular level with your ECs/academics, which you’ve definitely done with your activies, scores and sports, the only bar between you and a top school is the essay and the presentation of the package. Sell yourself well to the school and I think you can be pretty sure of an admit to atleast one of your reaches. I honestly think making yourself stand out, making your personality stand out is all you have left to wrap up a very good application.

You know how I said I was quitting? Well, after I started checking the Yale and Summer Programs forums recently I think I got addicted again ):

Apply for TASP with me, man.

And sign on AIM and Facebook once in a while.
