Junior Book Awards

I got the Harvard Book Award, which was the book Making the Most of College. The girl at my school who won it last year is going to Harvard, but I seriously doubt I'll be following in her footsteps.

Isn't it a good book though?

i got the cornell award, it seemed kinda random... they jsut took the top 6 ranked kids

the award was nothing really, just a copy of a book written by a princeton alumnus

The girl who got the Yale book award at my school applied to Wharton ED and got in.

Ouch.

I got one. I have no idea where the actually book and award certificate are though, probably somewhere under my bed.

I got the Wellesley Book Award.
The teachers selected a girls "in recognition of outstanding academic achievement and leadership within the school and community"
Its "The Norton Book of Women's Lives", but i haven't read it yet.

For the past two year, the boy and girl who have gotten the harvard book awards have gone to harvard. The kids in my grade who got them are definately eligible to go there are are applying early come fall.

I got the Phi Beta Kappa; I've heard of all the book awards from Ivies but never from Phi Beta Kappa. So I'm curious, does anyone know of this award? I got an Oxford encyclopedia. At my school, the Harvard and Phi Beta Kappa book awards are selected and given to students who exemplify academic excellence, discipline, community service devoltion...

How would i get such an award if my school doesnt offer it? Is it something you apply for? Does anyone have any more information concerning this?
