your numbers are pretty solid, and your #1 ranking an excellent plus.
do not waste your time to retake your ACT or SAT score.

as for ecs, i might remind you that middle school accomplishments have no bearing on college admissions; all your extracurricular activities, awards, etc. needs to start from freshman year of high school. with that said, your ec's look a bit mediocre.

i don't know about the other schools, but i'm sure MIT requires you to take a Math IIC SAT II and probably one or two others, so check up on that. i'd suggest you to take your SAT II's and continue your extracurricular activities.

I keep forgetting EC's (sorry, I haven't had to put them for anything in a while!).

I also
(for 9th and 10th grade)- taught Sunday School classes of 3-4 year olds
and
Organized a project with my friends to put microwaves in at our school (I know that's not a big deal, but we had to talk to all sorts of officials and get the donations)

Does it hurt my chances that there are 3 kids with perfect GPA's (my school doesn't weight)? I have (by far) the highest weighted GPA, and I am tied with them unweighted, but does that matter at all?
