What information would it take to get an approximate EA chances estimate for a Junior?

Your grades, SAT scores, essays, an interview report, and a couple of adcom members ;)

Yeah honestly, I've lurked around CC for over a year and most of us are just high school students like you. I don't think our "estimates" are very accurate. Even if you post your stats and everyone reassures you, it won't really help and you won't really have an accurate picture. Most of the time doing a chances thread just freaks the person out and makes applying to Harvard even more intimidating. In any case, start one if you'd like, and I'm sure we'll all do our best in giving fair judgment. Just know that we might be dead wrong.

Yeah good call... You sure no adcoms lurk the boards dispensing free advice in their free time? :D

haha sorry, none here :p Although Byerly might be Bill Fitzsimmons in disguise.

Hey, the Caltech forum has a really friendly advice-dispensing adcom!

Doesn't MIT, too?

...I wish I were a techie kid because I want to go to MIT. But, alas, I am not. :D

Yes, they do! I forgot about that one, damn. The Caltech one has helped me personally on several occasions, that's why...

Oooo. Well aren't you special?

If you only got into MIT and Caltech (would be a strange situation, I know, but college admissions can be weird), which would you pick?
