Junior College Teacher Okay?

Oh shoot, I think I just made a really bad mistake.

I asked my German teacher to write my second teacher recommendation. Common App wouldn't let her submit it online because she works for a junior/community college and not a secondary school.

I can send her envelopes, etc. but does that mean she CAN'T write my teacher rec? I checked with my school's websites and they say nothing about the teacher having to be a high school teacher---just that she would have had to teach me in 11 or 12th grade in an academic subject. However, I'm really paranoid right now.

Can anyone help me with this? Thank you so much!

EDIT: On the common app, for the school name, they specify it as a "secondary school." =(

Is there really a big difference between high school and junior college recs?

right, it has to be a high school teacher in the core subjects; i think you are a bit screwed

Sigh, that sucks for me.

Are there no exceptions to this? I mean, my junior college is right next door to my high school and most kids take classes in the core subjects there.

Update: I had emailed my guidance counselor a few hours ago and she just replied, saying it was okay since other students have had their college professors write them evaluations in the past. Whew.

OF COURSE you can have any teacher who knows you well write your recommendation, regardless of what school hires the teacher.
