Junior in CSOM- AMA

@appplicant Thanks for the response. I think I did the same IB case competition(the Citi one?) you’re talking about this past spring. It was really tough cause I just had financial accounting and not even basic finance yet, and they went through the material really fast, but I enjoyed the experience. I remember you mentioned some IB mentor club(I think a part of IBST) a few posts back, can you explain the process of getting into that and when I should be looking into that and how competitive it is to get into?

Also, what is the recruitment like on campus? I’ve been looking at the eagle link postings and I’ve heard Citi is the biggest presence and then Deutschland, UBS, and Barclays. What about the rest of the bulge bracket and boutiques? What kind of internships did you have freshman and sophomore summers to prepare for recruitment?

Sorry that was a lot of questions lol but I definitely want to keep looking into ib.

You just named 4 of the 9 bulge bracket (bell curve level financial impact) BOA recruits from BC as well. Not sure about Goldman JP or MS

Hi @appplicant thanks so much for all this information! BC is actually one of my top schools since I visited and loved the campus and the culture. Quick question, I’m a student interested in EAing to CSOM - how important is the BC supplement question to BC admissions? Also, does BC emphasize demonstrated interest during the application process?

From the BC Undergraduate Admission’s office:

" -We do not track demonstrated interest,"

. @bakaouji - consider the supplemental application questions “important” - for BC or any college that adds these to the Common App - good luck!
