I intend on narrowing this.

How realistic are these evaluations? Any other places I ought to look?

bump… lol

bump again, dammit, where are all the procrastinators?

whats your class rank? If it is around the top 10%, you should have a good shot for most of those schools.

If your SAT is is what you say it is, and you are in the top 10%ish of your class, i would say match for most of those schools

have you done NATS for LD…
if not, its not that worthwile

our school doesn’t rank, but i wouldn’t say im in the top 10%. Prolly within top 15-20%.

And our team only does monthly meets for the county league. Nothin else outside

Are you in the U.S. or an international? I am confused by your reference to “American football.” Maybe you’re in Maryland, based on your list. In any case, I think your list looks pretty good. Your GPA is a little dicey, but your list has safety, match and reach schools.

lol. No, I’m not an international. I just always list it as ‘American football’ because I’m weird that way. Just want to make sure everyone knows that I play the better football.

Then you should say REAL football.

haha. will do.

another bump…

St. Mary’s is very generous with IB credits. Students earn 4 credits for each higher level exam with a score of 5, 6, and 7 plus students earn 4 credits for taking TOK.

that’s part of why im applying

I would say that your “most interested” ones are also your “most likely”. That being said, make sure you do well SAT wise. The era of the football player who doesn’t work hard academically is turning; you can’t get in on that alone. But you seems to be a very solid candidate.

i don’t think that era is waning, but it certainly hasn’t been present at the schools I’m interested in for a while.

I’m looking to play football while going to college, not to go to college to play football.

But I had the impression that a lot of these schools would be a lot more of a reach for me.

I would say if you keep up your record, you are a solid candidate. Add something with a little bit of “spice”, shall I say, and you’ll be even more of a stand-out. Unless you are hiding something, you aren’t going to have too much trouble. I would say you’ll get these results:
Georgetown SFS: Waitlisted/Reject
JHU: Waitlisted/Accepted
Dartmouth: Waitlisted/Reject
Swarthmore: Waitlisted
Bowdoin: Accepted
Claremont McKenna: Accepted
University of Chicago: Accepted
Tufts: Waitlisted/Accepted
Carnegie Mellon Humanities & Soc. Sciences: Accepted/Possible Waitlist
Macalester: Accepted
Carleton: Accepted
Grinnell: Accepted
William and Mary: Waitlist/Accepted
Boston University: Waitlist/Accepted
St. Mary’s College of Maryland: Accepted
American University: Accepted
U. MD College Park: Accepted

That said, strange things do happen!

hm, i thought i was a bit more secure w.BU and a bit more precarious with UChicago and Claremont McKenna. I’ll have to do some more research.

bump again…

now that people are home procrastinating lol

i think you can definitely get into tufts!
it looks like you have a good mix of schools.
apply to some more ivy leagues and less safety schools.
i love tufts!! i’m hearing back from them soon and keeping my fingers crossed.
