Would you suggest taking either Prob/Stat or FN math my junior year. (Freshmen year I took Basic Geometry with two Bs and sophomore year I am taking Algebra II with a C.) I am trying to take trig over the summer.

I would suggest the Prob/Stat class, as this could potentially set you up for AP Statistics. If you make a passing grade on the AP Stats test, this gets you out of freshman statistics at many universities. Freshman Stats is often one of the only math classes required for non-STEM majors. In short, it sets you up to potentially have all your college math finished before college.

I hope this helps.

Potential majors in college?

Nothing in the math related field.

If your major in college will be any science, engineering, economics, or business, you need to be at least ready for calculus when you enter college (i.e. take at least trigonometry and precalculus in high school).

Otherwise, knowledge of statistics will be useful in general. (Statistics may also be needed in the majors that require calculus, but those majors may require a calculus-based statistics course.)
