Hey CC,

I am a newbie here and would like to ask the question of chances. Will I get into UF with the following stats:

PSAT: 163 (Horrible score)
A practice SAT: 1780 (Done at a SAT Prep Class, 1st time)

Class Rank: 7/500
GPA: 3.98

AP's:

Human: 5
World: 4
Euro: 4
Currently taking: AP Lang, Chem, Psych, and APUSH

Our school lacks a lot of AP's and the one's available are often limited to grade level. I am currently a junior and plan to study for SAT big time with aiming for a score of 1950+

Lmao. 3.98/ ranked top 5% w/1950+. Yeah, you will get in.

Did you go to UF?

You should be fine with your GPA (and class rank), and a 1950+ or better SAT. You will need some EC’s and a decent essay (don’t take chances with UF’s holistic admissions). UF doesn’t look at your AP scores (for admissions), but they do care about class rigor. As long as you’re taking the most rigorous classes available (based on what your school can offer), you should be fine.

Good Luck!

I’m currently a freshman. My advice to you: don’t stress about your admissions after you sent in the application just enjoy your senior year.

EC’S: SECME, Mu alpha theta, national honors society, science NHS, currently I am VP of our Model UN club, social studies academic games, plagued tennis for the school team
