Hi everyone,

Is there a website where I could search for community or junior colleges with dorms? I've tried using Google but haven't had too much luck.

Thanks.

I don’t think there is such a thing.

Just look on the websites for the particular school. It’s easier. Or use a search engine for colleges like the one on Collegeboard.

For California CC’s: [College Listings - Dormitories](http://www.cccco.edu/CommunityColleges/CommunityCollegeListings/CollegeListingsDormitories/tabid/857/Default.aspx)

Hudson Valley CC in Troy NY had some student housing

Also for Santa Barbara CC there are 2 private dorms that accept CC students in Isla Vista, which is the college town where UCSB is located (about 10 miles from the SBCC campus). A number of SBCC students choose to live either in those dorms or in apartments, putting them right in the midst of the UCSB setting.

Young Harris College in north Georgia is a two-year, quality, liberal arts college. It’s almost 100% residential, it’s not designed to be remedial, it has a good athletics program, it’s got a pretty neat campus life - it’s a real LAC, just on a two-year basis. I don’t know of another similar school in the country.

Look at Richard Bland College of the College of William and Mary.

College of William and Mary is not a community college?..

I only found one in Ohio. It’s called Hocking College and is located in the southeast corner of the state, which is supposed to be a beautiful area.

For lists of US community colleges by state:
[U.S. Community Colleges, by State](Log in with Atlassian account)

You use the College Board “College Search Matchmaker” [College MatchMaker - Type of School](<a href=“College Search - BigFuture | College Board”>College Search - BigFuture | College Board)
Under “Type of school” choose “Two-year”, and then under “Housing and Programs” choose “Housing must be available”. This yields a list of about 700 two-year schools with housing.

Good luck!

To elaborate on post 8, Richard Bland is located in the metro-Richmond area. After two years, you can transfer to W&M. It is a residential community college.

Thanks for the College Search Matchmaker link, happymomof1.

Other suggestions:

Dean College
Franklin, Massachusetts

Harcum College in Pennsylvania has dorms.

I believe Monroe Community College (Rochester) and Onondaga Community College (Syracuse) in NYS also have some housing.

There used to be quite a few in New England, but a lot of them have started to also dabble in offering bachelor’s degrees. Check out Becker, Mitchell, and Dean Colleges.

I used to live in the town where Dean is (Franklin, MA). It’s a fine school, and has a look and feel that almost nobody would associate with a 2-year school.

Community College of Denver students share dorms with students of two other schools that are located on the same campus, Metro State College and Univ. of Colorado, Denver. While not right on the campus itself, most of the dorms are very close and some have shuttles between the dorms and the schools.

Haha the CC in my town has dorms. Northeastern Oklahoma A&M. – Miami, OK.
