Is there some sort of way I can estimate my PSAT scores</p>

<p>If the SATs are much harder than the PSATs, how are people getting higher scores on SAT? Is it because of more preparation throughout the year?</p>

<p>In my case, it had to do with the fact that I had learned more math material and had had more practice analyzing literature in school. More exposure, generally speaking.</p>

Only the math section is harder on the SAT.
Plus you also have to consider the curves. PSAT curves can be extraordinarily harsh. -1 Math and your Math score could drop from an 80 to a 75.</p>
<p>and also, people tend to look at their PSAT score and go “Wow. I guess I do have to study”</p>
