Did your junior test score improve over your sophomore test score? Did you do any test prep?

Here's hoping everyone gets good news!

Did your junior test score improve over your sophomore test score? Did you do any test prep?

Here's hoping everyone gets good news!

no test prep:

Math: up 10 points (haha, a year of math did me virtually nothing)
Reading: up 50 points
Writing: up 110 points

but not NMSF quality, especially for nj

40 points. 183 -> 223

My son's scores:

Critical reading: 57 to 68
Math: 60 to 65
WritingL 53 to 73!

Practice - probably a couple of hours the day before. I was surprised at the math. Thought it would be the biggest bump. Go figure.

197->229

32 points

no prep:
math: up 70
critical reading: up 20 (not much to improve)
writing: up 20 (not much to improve)

brosfam, great score! Did you do any test prep in the past year?

Now that I have my sophomore's scores I'm wondering whether we can let it ride or should we consider books or something?

brigidt, that's wonderful improvement. : )

19(0) points. 198->217

A lot of prep, especially in math, which paid off considerably!

181 to 197 and I studied hard.

i got 158 sophomore year (LOL ***??) and jumped to 209 with like a practice test for the PSAT. no SAT prep since i'm taking the ACT.

i don't understand...LOL. 51 points?? must have been luck

pretty much the same as burnit blue (except 1 point lower ;p)

198 - 216 so 18 points

are you NMSF vorfield? sounds like youre on the line, depending on your state

1770 to 2010
about 130 pts in math (should have been 200)
about 100 pts in CR (should have been about 140)
10 pts in Writing (yes I messed up big time)

Vorfeld and batman -- any prep books or classes?

from FL so im ~meh borderline

2 years ago it was 215
1 year ago it was 212
sigh now i'll be in limbo for a whole year

and for prep books / classes
i got the Barrons New SAT prep book and took the practice tests included in there and looked at what i did wrong with the explanations
i also reviewed over the grammar rules and etc but it didn't really go into that much detail to help me that much (9 points higher)

really i think it was just the 1 year more in education that got me the increase

"brosfam, great score! Did you do any test prep in the past year?"

Yeah, I did a ton of practice tests and stuff :)

I still havent gotten my scores online it only has my scores for 2006

all my firends have theirs why dont I have mine?
any ideas

"any prep"

yeah here and there, but I haven't payed much attention to it as school began. Gonna start studying as much as possible for the Jan. sat though.

and hirenishungry, it should be up there when you go to your college list. just go to that, then at the top left it should say something like college quick start, click on that, then click on the 2007 PSAT on the left sidebar.

223: 78 CR, 80 M, 65 W
to
232: 79 CR, 80 M, 73 W

Mainly writing went up, though I still missed 2 that I shoudnt have....

It is weird it only has my 2006 test scores, and my quikstart is unavailable.
