im applying for engineering

"im applying for engineering"

Not at the University of Chicago

right, there's no engineering at Chicago

As for your chances, I was just accepted with much less impressive stats, so I'd say you have a great chance. It's all about the essays!!! Keep challenging yourself curriculum-wise. You'll be fine!

I agree with bendrumfront, all those stats and extra-curriculars are completely useless if your essays turn them off. I too was accepted with much lower stats and activities, but knew I had an extremely well-written piece of work.

i mean im a pretty good writer...not like stellar but im sure if i work on my essay it could become stellar...i dont think everyone that applies to uchicago is like an amazing writer just that tehy work on it alot>?...also is there a chemistry major at chicago cause then that would be better

beefs, you should be taking a close look at the University of Chicago web site. Investigate what majors are available, what sort of courses an undergrad will be required to take. If you know nothing about the university, it will show in your essays, and that will be a problem.

nono i do know a good amoutn about the college...im on their mailing list and what not...and so i was expectng them to have an engineernig school to take chem engineering but i see that they have chem as a major anyway so thats what i mean...anyway thanjk
