Junior schedule... ay? nay?

AP Lit.
AP World
AP Physics B (doesn't offer C, self study)
AP Calc AB (Don't offer BC, Self Study)
Honors Spanish III
Genetics/ Psychology
Marching Band

No free period? How does it sound? Will I die without a free period? Or should I drop Genetics/ Psychology?

EC's: Math Team, chess, NHS, Key Club

I also have a job, but will be working on weekends mostly, marching band is 8 hrs on saturday, but I can get out if I have a ton of homework.

Also I want to be taking Chemistry @ a CC, I am going to be registering soon...

Looks like a pretty regular schedule.
Can you take college genetics/psychology?

Shouldn’t be that hard if you don’t procrastinate/focus on what you’re doing.

Dude… my school sucks. I am taking the highest of everything I can!!! lol… I mean it was a stretch to take more than three AP’s… I had to go behind my counslers back, and got another coordinator to change it, since my guy wouldn’t

^^and plus you’re only a sophomore, even if your freshmen schedule was hard… what do you know? I mean… I am sure you are aware, at least a little.
I have never taken an off… and I don’t want to… but I will if I have to…

Wow. I’m pretty lucky here.
I just had to test out of some stuff.
Then my counselor just changed it.
Although I’m the basically the only person in my school’s history to have that kind of schedule for a 10th grader. 6 APs lolz.
Edit, and 1 honors, which I would’ve taken as an ap if it was offered.

Good solid schedule. You will manage. I took 5 APs junior year and 2 honors and I came out pretty good.

^ did you have a free?

and you intend to keep up with a self study for BC calc when the first semester of it takes the whole year to cover…how exactly?

don’t just assume you can self study.

and, um, you realise that the option of having a free period is quite a rarity, right?

calc AB is the first semester in BC… I already have talked to the Calc teacher who is going to help me… Also I have been self studying Calc AB so that I will be able to understand the concepts of BC, therefore, will just be looking into the last semester of BC, my teacher has the syllabus and is willing to help me.

Anyway… why are you so mean IBfootballer… Yes I am well aware of the restricted schedules of IB students, my boyfriends goes to Lakewood, the top IB school in colorado, I had also got accepted back in 8th grade (how we met, middle school), but my mom didn’t want me to go. Anyway, don’t be jealous because your schedule isn’t as flexible, honestly.

I was going to do IB. However, it lacked the flexibility like lost said.
I couldn’t get the rigor I wanted with the college classes and whatnot.

:(

I wanted the TOK class though. That sounds FUN.

I KNOW!!! I really really really really really want to take TOK… like A LOT!!! lol.

If I could just take one class from IB, it would be that, for sure… it is like english and philiosophy combined… does it GET better???

Yeah, ToK is an awesome class. I guess people don’t like the flexibility of IB :frowning: but I’m still taking amazing classes, I still took 5 APs last year, and I’m taking 3 college classes next year. So that’s not the reason not to do it!

lol here, you can’t do any IB if you do AP.

:(

Yeah I kinda wish I had gone into IB… simply because you learn more in depth as well as the classes seem to be more challenging… I am bored at my school!

scaredapplicant-strong first post

only a ccer would say that that schedule looks like a regular schedule. op, your schedule is solid, don’t worry about anything

That’s a pretty generic schedule up in these parts, and … yeah … a free period sounds highly unnecessary. So you’re good.

if you joined then, i lurked ages before you joined.

^I think he’s had too much mountain dew. Seems crazy. =D

i would say you have a pretty solid schedule. as long as you are taking the most advanced courses as possible at your school, then theres nothing to worry about.
