Junior Schedule Help!

Ok, so schedules are due for next year at my school soon. I'm going to be a junior, and I'm not quite sure which classes to take.

For SURE, I'll be taking:

Honors Spanish 4
Honors French 4
Concert Choir (I know. But, I enjoy show choir and am forced to be in this for show choir.)
AP USH
AP Stats
Honors English 1 (AP English something)

Honors Trig/Pre-calc

That gives me one period left to take a class. I have decided to either fill the last spot with AP Psych, AP Macro/Micro, or AP Bio.

I'm leaning towards AP Psych right now, simply due to the fact that the class only meets every other day and it would allow me to have a study hall every other day! And Psych seems pretty interesting to me.

However, if AP Bio or AP Macro/Micro would be better for me to take as a Junior, I'd be willing to take it. Please note, I will be taking the classes I don't choose as a Senior anyway. For further information, I love languages and cultures, and I plan on doing something with that in college.

Thanks for the help! It means a lot.

(BTW): My final GPA with straight A's for the first semester will be a W of 4.5. Second semester it will be a 4.65 or something like that. Is that fine, for a school, say Georgetown? :)

If I were you I’d take either AP Bio or AP microeconomics or both junior year as a challange. AP (at least at my competitive high school) is known as the “easy A”, and colleges want to see you challange yourself. So go for the tough classes. You can always take AP pysch senior year. Good luck!

take a science class…that is what most schools hope to see

Take the easier classes this year. That way, half of the harder classes will be during your senior second semester - and you can slack off a little bit. :stuck_out_tongue:
They’re all APs, so none of them are going to make you look lazy.

So it would be bad if I didnt take AP Bio as a junior?

I guess I could also take AP Bio instead of AP stats and take that as a senior.

Yes. Take AP Bio before Senior Year.

I recommend dropping AP Stats and taking AP Bio + AP Macro/Micro.

Or if you can’t/don’t want to take AP Bio.

Actually, screw my above post.

Take whichever one interests you more. Both are good in their own ways. AP Bio is good for science but AP Macro/Micro is good for humanities/finance (obviously lol).

However, keep in mind that’s it easier to self study AP Bio then AP Macro/Micro.

If you plan on majoring in science, I would take AP bio. If you plan on majoring in business, economics, etc, I would take AP econ. Otherwise, AP psych would be best.

The guidance counselors in our hs make it clear to the top students who will be applying to top schools:

Take 4 years of each academic subject: math, science, language, english, hist/eco

With that in mind, if you don’t take AP bio, you will be dropping science your junior year, which is a mistake. (AP Psych is not a science or a hist/eco…just an elective.)
