Sophomore year: (AP bio is the only AP offered at my school)
H Global Studies- 96

AP US History- 86 (im expecting higher as the year goes on)
H Civics- yet to take

Interested primarily in history with a possible minor for art

what i think about schools im interested in:
UConn (safety/match)
Cornell (high reach)
NYU (reach/match)
Brown (high reach)
UPenn (high reach)
Trinity (match)

ANY responses/suggestions greatly appreciated

just curious, did 2100 meet the national merit cutoff? that is somewhat significant, I think, for colleges.

thinking about small schools at all? history/art are pretty common interests at liberal arts colleges.

otherwise I will let the more knowledgeable members talk. I have a habit of posting only after midnight so my comments are usually useless... like this one =</p>

well im going by my sophomore year's psat which doesnt count for national merit, unless im fell (i thought i did better btw) i think ill make the commended cutoff.

i never really heard of most of the liberal arts schools and therefore cannot remember their names nor know of their requirements :/

........but id love to hear some names bump

Re Cornell: I would suggest sending an e-mail to the admissions office to inquire about whether pursuing your dual interest in history and art is possible at Cornell.

The problem is that history is in the College of Arts and Sciences, while studio art is in the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning. Each college places limits on how many classes students can take in other colleges at Cornell. You seem to know what you want, but it would take someone at Cornell to advise you on whether it is possible to do it.

Art History is amazing at Williams...don't know if that helps.

thanks for the responses, but what im also worried about any of those schools in my league. For example, i just looked at Williams' not so comforting 19% admissions rate (which will probably drop in 08). Dont want to get my hopes up for their programs if ill probably be rejected :(

bump.....................

bump............

......anyone?
