Junior/Senior Class Schedule

Hey CC,

Up until this point I have always taken the most rigorous courses at my school. We are large enough to have some variety, but not quite at the point where we will have more than one honors/AP class (ex. AP Calculus is only available one period of the day.)

Due to my schedule of Honors/AP courses, I am stuck with two classes for 4th and 5th period (we have seven.) One is religion (required) and the other is a smorgasboard of easy, useless classes.

So CC, should I take a useless class, or just subsitute a study hall for one of the periods and take religion during the other? I am really interested in Cornell, and I don't want them looking down on me because I took a study hall Junior Year. But is an easy class any better?

I think that taking an easy class would be a nice GPA boost- if you can’t take anything advanced, it’s fine to take easier courses. My school doesn’t offer study hall, but they aren’t graded and have no effect on GPA, right?
If so, opt for the easy a.

No it wouldn’t hurt you, taking a study hall. Put it this way: that easy class most likely will not impress Cornell either and help you.
