Junior State of America Symposium at USC

My school doesn't have a JSA, but I plan to start one as a senior this school year.

I already applied to the symposium, but I want to know if anybody has gone to it before.

I already raised part of them amount and my parents are paying for the other part, so I'm covered financially.

Any advice about the symposium?

Anybody going to the symposium? Does it help with the college application, especially because I am going to start a JSA at my school?

Anyone?

I want to know how admissions officials look at extra curricular activities.

How do they do that?

The symposium is a nice activity, but not at all selective, right? If it is meaningful to you, it would be a good essay topic.

If you start this as a club at your school and show a lot of leadership and devotion to it, this is of course a good extracurricular for your college app - it willl help if it is something you are really interested in.
