junior thinking of applying to Wharton

I already know my chances are definately not high, but I was just hoping that by posting this, maybe it won't be too late to see what areas I need to work on?

Year: Junior

Classes this year: APUSH, AP Chemistry, AP Statistics, English 3 Honors [highest level of English available for juniors at my school], Trig/Pre-Calc, Accounting

*I was supposed to take French 3 this year, but because my school only offered French 3 7th period, and AP Chemistry was only offered 7th period, I was forced to choose between the two. I'm also taking AP Chemistry at a school in my district about 15 minutes away because my high school does not offer it. So I have to spend my lunchtime driving there every other day because of block scheduling

Classes my senior year: AP English, AP Physics, AP Calculus AB, AP Government, French 3, 3-D Design 1

** I had to take a Fine Art to graduate. This is probably waste of a period :/

Extracurriculars: ASB Class Secretary Freshman and Sophomore Years,
Key Club Publicity Chair my Sophomore Year, Key Club Treasurer my Junior Year, very likely Key Club President my Senior Year, CSF/Honor Society Vice President Sophomore and Junior Year, Business Club President Junior Year, Varsity Tennis player since Freshman Year co-captain my Junior Year, will be captain again next year

Unfortunately, I'm not ranked in tennis in USTA or anything, something I regret not spending more time on.

I would also like to add that since my school doesn't have a Business Club/FBLA [as many of you might notice, my school lasks a lot of things], that is a club I started this year, in hopes of just getting some members by the end of this year and then forming an FBLA my Senior Year. I am really interested in all the competitions FBLA has - not only because of the awards, but they genuinely sound interesting and fun to me [this probalby sounds nerdy haha].

SAT-I: 2180
[690 Critical Reading, 720 Math, 770 Writing]
I took it December 2007, and am taking it again this coming March

I haven't taken any of my SAT-II's yet, but I'm planning to take those after AP testing
Most likely SAT-II Chemistry and SAT-II Math

GPA: 4.06

My school does not give extra points for honors classes or else my GPA would be higher, since I took all the available Honors classes in Freshman and Sophomore Years. I have 3 B+s overall: 1 in APUSH last semester, 1 in AP Chemistry last semester, and 1 in Biology Honors from Freshman Year

Class Ranking: 3/317

Ideally, I would like to attend Wharton and major in Finance or Accounting.

Thank you to anyone that reads through this and leaves a response!

Just look at the ed'ers stats on the Penn thread. I'll summarize for ya though...you're SAT is a little low. Your GPA is par at worst. And your ec's are lacking. And I'm nerdy too as far as business, (though only in my dreams do I apply here) I was doing one of the events for fun, and then decided I might as well submit it to the fbla competition.

Thanks for the feedback :)

I'm aiming for a 2250 on the March SATs.
Does UPENN superscore SAT scores like Stanford?
I think that would help me out a lot, since it's probably pretty hard to keep up a 770 Writing :/

Also, I forgot to mention that my 4.06 was my total GPA for high school.
What GPA is Wharton looking for?
For example, UC's look at 10-11 GPA only [I think] and have a separate "UC" GPA.

They do superscore, and I was saying you GPA is good. Yet....everyone who gets in has that. WHat you need is better ec's, that's all. I.e. getting to nationals in fbla.

^getting to nationals at FBLA that really counts? i thought FBLA was a bit of a joke =O

Well, it's my first year doing it so I don't really know the competition. I also guess it really depends on your state. Anywho, my one friend's only significant ec was national histroy day, and he got to nationals. He's now at Penn. Great Scores+Great GPA+Something else really hard to do/special=competitive.
