Junior Thread

There was a sophomore thread so I figured I should make a Junior Thread. So wsup class of 09! What classes are guys taking right now? Possible senior class schedule? What colleges are you guys applying to next year? And most importantly, how's your high school life?

Hey! My high school life is going great! Even though i hate my school. I'm sooo looking foward to college.

I plan to apply to Harvard (Yikes!), Yale, and Johns Hopkins (3 top choices). I'll be going for pre-med, with a neuroscience or neurobiology major.

Senior year schedule is somewhat of a mystery.

I really want to go to Stanford. I'm applying EA next year. Since I live in California and I'm in the top 4% of my school, I'm pretty much guaranteed into a UC school through Eligibility in Local Context. I'll also apply to HYP because their financial aid incentives look very good.

Oh, and I'm happy enough with my high school life.

I beat you all in slackerness! :)
Right now:
French 3
American Classics 11H
Women's writing

Alg 2

Next year

I wanted to go to UCSD, but then when my SATs came out (2100), I decided to aim higher -- UCLA.

Ugh... now I'm just obsessed... :]
I can't wait... but we all still have to wait a YEAR and HALF!
GAKK...
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/464532-increase-chances-getting-into-ucla.html#post1059826463

junior year kind of sucks. the only thing getting me through is the hope of getting into college... i'm kind of a slacker... but here is my schedule this year
AP Statistics
AP Physics C K&EM
AP Latin Vergil
AP English
self studying ap environmental science and ap calc ab (did bc freshman year but never took ab test)

next year
AP Chem
AP Bio
AP Econ
english class

my college list is pretty long now, but my top schools are yale, u of chicago, hope, wheaton, u of minnesota, harvard

Wow, you guys are amazing! How do you find time to self-study when you're already taking four or five APs?

I'm thinking of applying to Yale, Vanderbilt, UT, William&Mary, Brown, Cornell, and maybe some others. Lol, too many reaches... I honestly think I'll just do my UT app first and then just see what else I have time for. They're so many schools I'd be ecstatic to attend, but my chances of getting in are so low I'm not sure how much effort they're worth...

Wow everyone is so competitive.

alice, I will be applying to UCLA too, but I want to get into Stanford, Cornell, Brown, Columbia, and possibly UChicago.

My current classes:

AP Biology
AP US History
AP English lang
AP Environmental Science
AP Calc AB
AP Human geo (self study)
AP Comp Gov (self study)
Health (grad req)

Senior schedule:

AP Physics C
AP English Lit
AP Art History
AP European History
AP Stats
AP/H US Gov

This year is really tough..

Last semester:
Chemistry Advanced Honors
English 3 Advanced Honors (aka hell)
APUSH
Honors Orchestra

This semester:
Pre-cal Advanced Honors
Physics Advanced Honors
more APUSH
more honors orchestra

Next year:

AP English Lit
AP Calc AB
Bio II AH (equivalent of AP)
Econ
Gov
Orchestra

I'm thinking of opting out of a semester of orchestra and taking AP Psych, but I'm not sure yet. What I would really like to do is skip out of Gov (waste of time) or Econ (ditto)

As for colleges, I'm hoping for MIT, Columbia, Brown, UC Berkeley, or UChicago, or some other decent college that has a rowing program and is not in the South
