Junior transfer to UCs, chance me?

Please let me know if there is a better place to do this/if I’m missing any important information.

I’ve applied to UCLA, Berkeley, San Diego, Irvine, Santa Barbara, and Davis and will be transferring from an in-state community college.

I know some of this information is irrelevant but:

  • 22 years old, white male
  • English major
  • 3.72 GPA (major GPA somewhere around 3.85 if that’s helpful at all; I got one B ?)
  • IGETC completed and most (maybe all?) major requirements completed
  • Just over 60 units
  • I’m pretty confident in my personal statements
  • English tutor on campus for over 2 years, but that’s really my only EC
  • I’m not entirely sure what else would be helpful to add

UCLA is my goal, so I’m especially interested in my chances there. I’m not optimistic, but I’d appreciate someone helping me temper my expectations!

Thank you so much for any help.

I would post in the UC transfer forum. In the meantime here is a link to UC Transfer GPA by major and campus to help gauge your chances.

Thanks for the advice and information!

Overall, coming from another English major, your chances are relatively high. English is not a popular major and according to the statistics that have finally been updated for the 2018 applicants, you have a good chance!
