Hello, I am currently in my sophomore year at a city college. I am planning to transfer to a UC, most likely UCLA or UCI. The problem is I have just decided to go into the medical field as a psychology major. I recognized many people started their pre med requirements their freshmen and sophomore year. I was wondering if I will be able to start my pred med requirements after I transfer and become a super senior. Is that a possibility or will I need to start my pre med requierments at the city college than transfer? Also the premed requirements are a year of biology, etc. Does that mean 2 semesters of biology/chemistry, etc? If it's a semester school? Or 3 quarters of biology/chem, etc for a quarter school? I really need some input on this because no one around me knows anything about premed, my counselors don't even know! So please some help !

Yeah you can definitely do a five year program or a post-bachelors program. 2 semesters or 3 quarters.

hmm okay thanks. one more question. Im a psychology major and doing premed. you think it’s too late to start premed requirements junior year? And does introductory science classes count as part of the requirement?
