Unfortunately, I stumbled upon boarding schools in mid-March, and it will be a miracle if I get in late this year (especially with all the over-enrollment everywhere)!

So for next year, would it be easier to get in as a junior, or as a repeat sophomore, at HADES schools?

Thanks!

As you said, it’s highly unlikely that you’ll get in this late this year, especially since many of the schools won’t even be drawing from their wait lists. But, in general, it’s easier to get in as a sophomore.

Thanks!

Does it make a difference if you are a repeat-sophomore instead of just a sophomore?

I’d assume not - and, in any case, it’s more likely that you’d be better academically and athletically qualified if you were a year older anyway. I don’t know if that’s the way that schools see it, though.

I actually skipped a grade, so I would be in my “rightful” age group.
I don’t really play a sport, though, so that wouldn’t really make a difference?

Doing a repeat sophomore year is probably more realistic.

repeat sophomore especially if you skipped a grade
