Junior year AP classes

There’s nothing wrong with getting a B in a challenging class. But if you’re worried about getting a C, I’d suggest dropping down a level. Particularly when dropping down means going from AP to honors, not AP to on-level.

A C+ is never a better option. The best option, of course, is an A in AP. And unless you have access to historical grade distribution, don’t assume an A is not achievable.

For admission to top schools, you need A’s in all your classes, or almost all your classes, including the AP classes. The unweighted GPA matters. But it is also hard to get admitted to top schools if you are not taking the most rigorous courses. IMO, I would go with whatever classes your GC calls “most demanding” and bite the bullet. You may or may not pull it off, but at least you will have given yourself a chance.

A B in an AP is better than an A in regular or honors. however if you think you run the risk of getting a C then pick the honors version. A B in honors is better than a c in am. And obviously an A in honors is better than a C in AP.

So my school doesn’t offer regular, it’s honors, CP or AP. I feel like if I take AP Physics a B is attainable. Thank you all for your responses!
