This entire school year has been extremely stressful...I rarely go to sleep before midnight these days, I get a load of homework and projects each day, after school I have to go to like a bazillion ECs and I'm slowly going insane. Just going to school each day seems to drain me of energy even when we're not learning anything difficult or challenging. Does anyone feel the same way as me? Or do you have any advice?

I went through very much the same thing last year. I know that I actually look back on junior year (semi) fondly and as a second semester senior, it definitely paid off working my ass off last year.

I feel exactly the same way, ive never tried in school until this year and I have 4 honors classes and 1 AP, and I have tests/quizzes every day and so much HW and stuff to study for. I also have begun to do E.C’s and I rarely get home until 6 or 630 only to begin procrastinating projects.

im going insane and i can’t stop.

Lostmortal- my d feels exactly the same. I feel horribly that she is up so late doing her schoolwork. Between hw and EC 's she has no time for friends and fun!

I feel the same way. Junior year is very stressful w/ more work and ECs.

Senior yr is gonna be worse(for me)

its okay. senior year was worse for me.

^ you got out of HS already?

Don’t worry OP, I feel the same way! School is sooo hard. Btw do you know if colleges cosider final grades moreso than semester grades?

And keep working hard :)

Yep, Junior year is definitely intense. Although comparatively easier to Soph year. All we can do is wait until it’s over… :/

^Soph year was harder for you? Aww man that’s bad!

it’s good to know that I’m not alone. I really hope that next year won’t be as hard…

i feel the same exact way! its not that junior is much harder academically, there’s just soooo much going on that you can’t find time to do anything. its literally taken over my life :/

Am I the only one who doesn’t have an obscene amount of work? I feel like I’m missing something because I only have about two hours of homework everyday while everyone else (in the same classes) whines about having six to seven hours of homework everyday. I have the same/slightly better grades than them. I just don’t understand all the commotion, I’m not stressed out at all. Everybody else whines about the stress involved with their EC’s but my EC’s generally give me more energy…so far, Junior year has been really underwhelming. I have 4 AP classes, it should be more difficult already.

Junior year suuucks. I’m trying a million times harder and I still have the same GPA. I can’t imagine how badly I’d be doing right now if I tried as hard as I did Freshman year.

Ughh, I HATE junior year. So much work to deal with, plus this is the major student council stress year. I’m struggling so much :(

I’m scared for Junior year!

Wow…I feel sorry for you guys. My school has block scheduling which I think helps out with my workload a lot. I only have 4 classes a semester, 1 of which is orchestra. I’m already done with calc and chem for this whole year and honestly, I thought sophomore year was a whole lot harder than junior year. Just a tip for you guys as well that works very well for me: If your teacher doesn’t make you hand in your hw until the day of the test, save a little bit of each assignment for the day before the test and use that as your review. That way you save time on your daily hw and still learn all the material and get your review in for the test.

i kno wat u r goin thro. i also have a test every week (1 to 4) and quizzes everyday. i hav an a$$load of work everyday and haze dozens of ecs after school. i’m takin 5 aps and i usually get to home round 6. hopefully this year will end!!!

^lawl

The worst part is that I cannot imagine having another year of HS next year. Been there, done that, I am ready to move on. Ugh…

^Haha, I am ready for college. I will still go hard first semester senior year, but if I get in somewhere ED, then I know I will ease up a tad, just ease the pressure a bit. And I have like 4 tests for sure every week, and quizzes daily are next to a sure thing. I only have 5 classes, but it feels like 10.

But sophomores it truly depends on your school. At mine, it feels like child labor haha, but my friends at other schools are basically on vacation year-round. So just do the research on your own school, it varies so much.
