Junior year classes?? help!

Alright, alright, so I have been absolutely freaking out about my schedule for the 2015-16 school year (junior). I was all set on this schedule:

AP Psych
US History
*AP Calc BC
*AP Physics
*Band (wind ensemble)
*AP Lang

(sorry, I know this looks long, but bear with me please )) )

Then, I found out that I can’t take all 4 of the starred classes (it has to do with when the classes are offered). I have to drop one, and I have only a week to decide which one. Great right?!
SO a little about me- I’m a math person all the way. I mean I’m also a good writer, but I genuinely enjoy math 10x better. I plan to go into finance/business/economics or maybe even major in straight up math. I would ideally like to go to Berkeley (I know, it’s a reach) and end up on Wall Street.

So, I have been conflicted on what to do! the only one I would consider dropping is AP Physics.

Here’s the thing though- I definitely want to take an AP science, and definitely not AP bio. not my thing. AP chem is a strong option, but I got to thinking- I am going into business… Chemistry has absolutely nothing to do with what I plan to excel in, and I heard it takes up a lot of time, and is exceedingly difficult.

So the only thing left for me to do is to just take regular Physics (they don’t offer honors). I took regular chem this year (again don’t offer honors).

Basically it comes down to this: AP Chem, and just tough it out, even though it won’t be of any use to my future
orrrrrr
regular physics

thanks for your time!!

ps. as a reminder- I will be taking calc bc and AP lang— both very hard classes. so I am not sure how I will do if I also add AP chem into that mix.

If you’re absolutely sure that you’re not doing anything related to chemistry, then just take regular physics, don’t take classes that you are not interested in.
The colleges should be able to understand the limitations of your school schedule so you won’t be penalized for it.
Maybe take Physics and self-study AP Physics at the same time? If regular physics isn’t too hard, then maybe use that extra time to just self-study AP Physics.

Don’t take AP Chem if you think you can’t handle it. Colleges want to take the most rigorous courseload possible, that is within your ability to succeed. If you feel like AP Chem/Lang/Calc is too much, then that’s your limit and that’s totally fine.

Nice schedule! And you are taking calc bc as a junior, that’s a pretty challenging class (I’m taking ab next year). It all comes down to your interest for the AP science. I personally find biology interesting so I took AP Bio this year and although it was a challenge, it was a fun experience. The physics teacher at my school said that the difference between AP physics and physics honors is the pace and content; he recommended some people skip right into AP and they managed to pull off A’s. If you think AP physics may be too much, then take honors.

That would have been a kick butt schedule if you were able to take it as it is. Shame schools have weird scheduling caveats.

Convert AP Physics to regular physics and call it a day. Possibly self study for the test if you want.

In order to be competitive for the type of colleges most CC students are contemplating, you need a foreign language.
I’d say your schedule would be better like this - this way you have al 5 core classes plus a “personal” class, which is always good.
Foreign Language 3/4/AP (whichever is your level, 4 expected)
US History
*AP Calc BC
*Physics
*Band (wind ensemble)
*AP Lang

After Physics, can you take AP Physics (Physics C sounds right up your alley and is a great senior course).
