I’m currently a sophomore in high school and will be signing up for my classes next year in a few days. So far, I know I will be taking Honors Pre-Cal, AP Lang, AP World, and Journalism (which is a chill class). For the last three classes, I’m not quite sure what to take. One option is to take AP Chem, which is double period, and then either Anatomy, AP Psych, or if that combination is too difficult, Media in Society/Oral Interpretation. If I decide not to take AP Chem, I could take AP Psych, Anatomy, and Media in Society. What do you advise I do? Right now, I have a 4.0, but I’m also only taking one AP. I have no problem with the studying and notes for classes, as I am motivated to do well. However, I feel like I might be pushing myself too far if I take say AP Chem and Anatomy together or if I take four AP’s. I’m not sure how important the number of APs is and if it’s better to take less AP’s and not damage my GPA or take more AP’s and possibly get B’s. I definitely want to take anatomy either junior or senior year and I think AP Psych would be interesting, but I also think AP Chem would be a very rigorous class and I would learn a lot. Lol, so you can see my dilemma. I know how important the classes you take junior year are for college, so I want to make the right decision.
