so for my 3rd semester. Im thinking of taking out ap european history for ap biology. i want to major in a science in college. also i don't think ap euro is a useful class. is it? would it be a good idea to switch ap euro for ap bio if i'm considering a science major in college?

Most colleges require that you take certain history courses as part of their required undergrad curriculum. I would stick with AP Euro so you can opt-out required history courses at the university you are applying to. Check with the colleges first.

If you don’t like Euro because it is a lot of memorization, then you’ll loath Bio.

Plus, if you are just looking for college credit, and you want to major in the sciences, then AP Bio might not mean anything; colleges will generally want Biology majors to start with Bio 101.

Yeah, but it’s better to go into a major with a few supplemental AP classes than no corresponding classes at all.

Yeah, i’m looking for college credit. So that means if i’m majoring in biochemistry/biology I should just take ap euro so i can take biology courses in college?

NO. Switch to Bio. If you get the AP Bio credits, you don’t necessarily need to use those credits to skip intro classes.

I’m not sure if this is true but Bio majors can start with more advanced Bio classes if they use AP credit.
