Junior Year Schedule...help?

My jr. yr schedule is:

AP Calc AB
AP US
AP Spanish
AP Eng
AP Psych. (online)
hon physics
hon accounting 1

I was originally doing hon. forensic chem., but it's a lot of work, and I don't think it's worth my time. I could take ap euro next yr. as an elective, but it might be too much. There really isn't anything left...idk, it might be too much, any ideas?

Senior Schedule

AP Calc BC
AP Gov
AP Eng
AP Env
AP Bio
AP...something (Euro)
Free period

What are you planning on doing later on? Social science? Science? It may be worthwhile to take a course in that.

But I noticed that you aren’t taking an AP science course, just honors physics. I’m sure that’s a legitimate and challenging course, but I would recommend taking AP Bio or anything other AP science. I don’t think AP Psych shows the AP-science savyness.

Why take AP Calculus AB as a junior and then repeat much of it as a senior in AP Calculus BC? I would expect that a student two years ahead in math should be able to handle AP Calculus BC in one year easily.

My school doesn’t offer anything past ap calc ab bc is online

I figured I’d save the sciences for senior yr and possibly math and science major

Perhaps community college for additional math (and science if your desired universities accept community college credit better than AP credit in those subjects)?

I was actually just talking about something similar to this with someone else today. You might as well take a (usually harder) AP science course to show some resilience in science. Your junior grades matter most, and will be looked at most critically. Having some A’s in AP Bio/Chem/etc. will be important.

I highly suggest you take at least one (hard) AP science course.

AP Bio is a lot of work though, and given the amount of work from this schedule, it’ll be tough. Does it really matter when I take it?

If somehow AP Physics B comes back senior yr, then I’ll take that over bio. We got rid of chem cause lack of students signed up, so it’s only:

env and bio.

AP Physics B is unlikely to be of much use as subject credit for a science major.

AP Biology is generally considered a more rigorous and useful course than AP Environmental Science.

I would definitely take forensic chemistry over euro… it’s probably less work. If not, though, and you think you can handle euro, go for it… It would look really impressive if you did well with 6 APs and 2 honors

I only have 7 classes; I think I’m pushing euro back to senior yr. I think I’m keeping this schedule w/the psych w/2 weeks left for any changes.

I’m only considering ap env. cause it’s a chill class that won’t stress me out too much, hopefully when senior yr. comes around.

Do you guys know anything about ap pyschology? I took ap stats this yr., and I heard there are some similar concepts. Also, is it possible to cover all of psychology in a week? If so, would reading through a prep book (Barron’s) over the summer prepare me for the class next yr?

Psychology is very easy. There are a couple overlapping concepts but not a ton. It is indeed possible to cover in a week.

Along with SAT prep, it’s gonna be a hectic yr…I really have to develop a schedule to tackle 5 APs next year. Do you guys take notes in a notebook when you read? I usually do, but I feel this takes up quite a bit of time. Maybe just doing the chapter readings would suffice? I think I’m printing online notes for history, take notes in calc, and maybe take notes for psych.
