Junior Year Schedule

Is this a good schedule for junior year

English 11 Honors
PreCalc/Trigonometry
Geosytems Honors
US/VA History 11 Honors
Computer Science
Latin 1
AP Psychology

Depending on what schools you’re aiming for.

Top schools: Why only one AP?

Why starting a language junior year?

looks a little too easy, but it depends on what is offered at your school. Could you take any of those as AP? where is physics? You need to take one year each of bio, chem, and physics. Will you have taken all of these by the time you graduate?

Schools like George Mason, Mary Washington, James Madison, and VCU,

and what do you think a good gpa is?

That schedule should be fine for mason but should be more rigorous for the others. A good gpa would be imho >3.4 UW

what AP classes do you guys recomend

What AP classes CAN you take? Basic for junior year would be AP English Language and APUSH, but before you register for that, ask your current teacher whether it’d be better for you to stick with Honors English and Honors History instead. DO NOT take an AP class where you’re not 100% sure you can get a B or higher.
If you need a class that’s AP yet easier than others, which I think you can do for VCu, UMW…, AP Psych and AP Human Geography are supposed to be a bit easier than the others.
Do you have another foreign language, take the SAT Subject test in it, and decided to continue with a new language, Latin? Or are you really starting your foreign language in 11th grade?

I took 2 years of Japanese

Can’t you continue with a 3rd year of Japanese? Very selective colleges (including many states’ flagships) like to see 3 years in a single language, and some top schools require it unless only 2 years are offered at your school.

What were the hardest/ easiest ap classes for you
