I posted one of these earlier in the year but I’ve tweaked it a little bit and have three options
A:
AP Calc AB
AP English Lit
AP Microeconomics + AP Macroeconomics
IB Chemistry HL
IB Spanish SL
PLTW
B
AP Calc AB
AP English Lit
AP Physics
IB Chem HL
IB Spanish SL
PLTW
C
AP Calc BC
AP English Lit
Art (or some other blowoff)
IB Chem HL
IB Spanish SL
PLTW
My two cents on math: depends on how good at math you are and how much work you’re willing to put in. If you take Calc BC, you’ll get all the material covered in Calc AB plus some extra material. I, personally would’ve taken Calc BC if my school offered it because you get the most out of it (and more AP credits). Next, it looks like you’re going between AP Econ, AP Physics, and art. I think this depends on your goals. If you’re interested in a science related career, take physics. Personally, physics hasn’t been too bad this year, so I think it’s manageable. If you are more interested in business, take econ. And if you want something a little easier or you just want to take something you really enjoy, go for it. I don’t think any of these will be options, but they will be challenging.
@cpresson1 thanks for the advice! If I take Calc BC I’m going to take art because I’d need a blowoff. I’ll talk to my math teacher and see what she thinks. Thanks for the physics advice, I think I might pick that over econ!
no problem. glad i could help
