<p>Parent here. How are some of you able to already be in AP Physics? Have you already taken regular physics and are now in AP, or did you skip it and go straight into AP? At my son's high school, the track is:
9th grade-Biology (regular or pre-AP)
10th grade-Chemistry (regular or pre-AP)
11th grade - some take Physics (regular or pre-AP), some take AP Chem, some take AP Biology
12th grade - one of the AP classes you haven't taken yet</p>

<p>at my school, 9th grade is regular/honors bio, 10th grade is reg/honors chem, and if you do well in honors chem, then you apply for ap physics, and it's up to the department as to whether you get in or not.</p>

<p>my school completely messed up my schedule. Today was my first day of school, and my roster was very different.</p>
