Junior Year Sucked

Junior year was pretty rough sometimes, I have to admit. Between all the hw, standardized tests (although AP crunch time was when I was most stressed), varsity sports seasons and other ECs, it got pretty rough. Your weekends and hanging out with friends will save you.

i'm an incoming junior and this thread really made my day insert sarcastic smile...

;)

I personally loved junior year, it was easily the best year for me. For one thing, it was promoted as being the hardest you'll ever have to work and blah blah blah, but nothing ever happened. I mean the courses were all simple, no one really bothered to challenge us and our chem teacher burned two students so that class was pretty much a free ride. But yeah, the freedom that comes attached with a license is pretty amazing as well, and the summer after my junior year was also the best three month period ever. So yeah I enjoyed every minute of it. But when it comes to senior year, that year really sucked for me considering I had to do five AP classes and all of the sudden the teachers thought we should learn ;), but yeah enjoy the time in high school b/c it really disappears so quickly and already college is creeping up on me, so the time you have with your good friends are the memories that will seriously last you forever.

Junior Year Sucked. Period. All those all-nights, waking up after a refreshing one hour of sleep with no shower, my hair looking like total **** and my face like North Korea had just launched a nuclear attack on my pores, and remembering I have fifteen minutes to finish a timeline for AP U.S. and read the last chapter before the final exam first hour. Oh yeah, and forcing myself to gulp down three cups of coffee each morning just to be able to peel my eyelids open was, I'm sure, a great healthy start to the day.

i actually prefered junior year to either fresh or soph years even though the course load was harder. i kinda liked the challenge and it wasn't overwhelming for me (my class standards aren't that high) and i still did well on psat, sat, act, aps and raised my rank

Junior year was the best so far, but it sounds like senior year is going to rock,

junior year was hell- 8 IB classes and an average of 5 hours of sleep a night. next year will be a little better since i can drive to school. on the good side, i managed to keep my gpa up

Junior year will be my first year taking a sport at school...cross country for about an hour and a half after school...do you guys discourage this? would i need as much time as possible for homework? or should i keep my sport?

It all depends, if you're truly interested in cross country and/or think you can succeed then I would say go for it. Also, this seems a lot like a situation I had been in where I had to drop tennis my junior year only b/c I had to self-study chemistry since my teacher burned two students, but anyway, if you think you'll still have enough time leftover after sports then I would play.

i remember my freshman year, i was in cross country for about a week...and i got overwhelmed because of the whole high school experience thing...blah blah..and I dropped it.

I really like running, so I promised myself that I should at least try it out next year...but if I REALLY REALLY can't handle it along with my classes and EC's, then I'll probably drop it (grr.) and just run on my own when i have time.

Hmmm, that makes sense, I had to drop a few EC's junior year though senior year I just was so involved with everything that I went crazy, but hey at least that's over

it feels like there should be more hours in a day and more days in a week for me to actually have a social life with my friends, and the other life-school, and all that good stuff.

yeah that's pretty much how my senior year went, among all my ap courses, and plenty of ec's as well as working on the weekend there never seemed much time to actually have much of a social life, but oh well, at least it's finally summer, though even that will soon be cut short.

what are you studying in harvard?

we didn't have anybody admitted to any ivies this year...last year there was only one guy who went to Harvard. Asian, and BOTH siblings went there too.

Typical .

mathematics

Oh boy...can't wait!!! cough yea right cough

Going to be a junior next year, need to do a bunch of stuff, trying to get into Air Force academy or any other military academy, so yea, busy times...

All three of my years in HS stank...I don't anticipate that it will get any better next year, or for the next seven at this rate.
I had scheduling conflcits that curiously reduced my ECs to three from seven, so it made junior year easy. But otherwise, it was crap.

tony is in H math O_O?!

i hope not math 55 >_>

It's my favourite year yet. I had to work harder, but it was worth it.
