Junior Year too easy?

Is it just me, or is junior year too easy? I took 5 APs this year: US, Enviro, Chem, Calc BC, and Bio. I dont do much hw and spend a lot of time on sparknotes and still end up with A's. Even though I run XC, I still have at least an hour everyday of free time (go to bed at 10:30). Is this normal or am I not working hard enough?

because 1 hour of free time is obviously too much...

another dumb college confidential thread.

You're good. Master Minesweeper in your free time. :D

Wow, you must have easy teachers.

5 aps ? I have 0 and my schools 2 yrs behind 'n math 1 yr in everything else and were all stupid if u all think ur schools hard get an iep pretend ur "special" move to long island and go 4 a interview i would love to have u at vss i need more juniors especially if ur a grl im the only 1

Only one hour of freetime? That's depressing. ):

by one hour, I'm discounting all the time that I waste while attempting to study/do homework. Also, you guys dont seem surprised at my free time. Judging from some of the threads, most people seem to be studying until midnight everyday.

you must go to a school in the south...

easy? heck no

hmm i dropped 1 of my honors before school even started, and my only AP a month in.

i only have 2 honors and basically do no homework whatsoever but complain that junior year is too hard because im barely getting a 3.0.

whereas sophomore year i also had just 2 honors courses, barely ever did homework, and got a 3.6

Um, so are you complaining about this?

You're lucky, then.

At the beginning of my junior year, I thought it was impossible with all the busywork I was getting from APUSH.

By the end, though, I'd gotten pretty used to the ropes and definitely had more free time to waste.

bendumfront - no not really even though i said that. i was mostly pointing out how junior year is harder then sophomore year.

I have no clue how you're doing it! There aren't a lot of AP classes at my school so as a junior I'm taking APUSH,Pre Calc,Band,America Lit, & Physics..and I never have free time. Granted, during the begining of the year I ran CC & was in the school play. Some people can just get away with sparknotes & be fine...just some people have to work a heck of a lot harder.

how are you doing this?? my AP physics teacher said we need to spend at least one hour a night on it, AP bio just gives us like 1.5 everynight...and chemm...whoa....i dont even know what we are doing in that class..

^^You have good teachers.
You can't get past the hard sciences without lots of hard work.

bio = 2 hrs per chapter which is like once a week
chem = uhhh... Cram for midterm and final
APUSH = invadersrealm.com!
Am Lit = Just some book reading. No major essays yet
Enviro Sci = Study off/memorize practice tests
Calc = slack off and cram for midterm and final

Sometimes on the weekends, I just feel guilty about having so much free time and want to invest it into something useful like ECs, but cant think of what.

You can do my homework since you have so much free time:). I feel I don't have enough free time. I have been slacking off a bit and had a bunch of Cs(82-86%) grades this quarter. I need to shape up and that is all I know.

Getting a 95% or higher to make an A for this semester is looking like a huge battle at the moment. :(

wow this thread makes me depressed.

it's ok if you're getting A's, but just make sure you're learning enough so when SAT II/AP tests come by, you'll be ready for them
