So sophomore year is coming to a close... and I don't have many extracurriculars under my belt.. (hospital volunteering, some community service hours, laundry list pretty much). Is it too late to start extracurriculars, say maybe during summer of sophomore year, beginning of junior year? I'm really worried because I have solid grades, but not enough extracurriculars.

As cliche as it sounds, try a few things and stick to what you're really interested in. This is what I did, I was worried I didn't have enough extracurricular activities and started joining up a lot of things thinking it would impress colleges (wrong), but I finally found some things that I really love doing. Try starting things right away so you can say you started sophomore year.

No, it's not too late. Just make sure any ones you do, be excited about it, and make sure you're dedicated.

It's not too late at all. You won't be applying for college until your senior year. By that time you can have a solid year-and-a-half of extracurriculars under your belt.

you should do things because you want to do things and stop caring about college.
