Is it true that junior year grades are the most important?
Thanks

Yes, they are widely considered the most important. However, broad statements like that are never alwys true.

There are so many things that could make it less true. If you are deferred or the college is on the fence about you, your senior year classes (probably your hardest from high school) will carry a heavy weight. Your junior year schedule also factours in; if you take tough classes freshman and sophomore years, and then easier ones to get higher grades junior year, they notice.

The reason junior year grades are considered so important is because they are usually the college's most recent report on what kinds of classes you take, how strong you are academically, etc.

I heard from college admission officers that senior year is just as important, but im shure thats just for some schools

Junior year is the most important full academic year evaluated--more important than sophomore or freshman year. This makes logical sense--it's a more recent picture of your academic achievement.

Senior year grades are probably about the same amount of important as Junior year, so to speak.

so if your doing much better in junior year, it looks good, correct
