actually you just have to add a zero at the send of your PSAT score. so it translates to 730M/720M/640CR. You might want to prepare well for the SAT since those scores are a little low for Stanford. The major that you apply for doesn't matter since you are admitted to the University as a whole not a specific department. Your extra-curriculars look pretty good and you do have some leadership positions which is what they look for. Your ethnicity might help a tad too. Your GPA might hurt but I think they pay attention more to your class rank. What's your rank exactly? Get started on those essays. It's never too early ;)

well we dont have class rank or even decile which is i think because i go to an ultra conpetitive school....~40 to ivy lauge a year

I'd say you have a relatively good shot as is. Stanford ignores freshman year so don't worry about that. Your URM status is icing on the cake. Write good, coherent essays and I'd say your 60-75% chance of getting in. HOWEVER, nothing is guranteed as we all know, and I'm just giving a guestimate, don't take my speculation as fact. One of the most important things I think any applicant to HYPSM should do is DIFFERENTIATE themselves. What makes you unique? What experiences have you had that set you apart from other people (i.e. what have you done that most high schoolers havent? people often say any topic can work, but some just work better. Don't talk about chess club in your essay when you can talk about discovering a galaxy (extreme example but you get the drift), etc. You've got to catch their attention (in a good, non-shocking way) and make you yourself seem like a person who is interesting and whom they would like to meet; successful completetion of these objectives is absolutely crucial to your chances. In order to improve your chances even more, raise your gpa. Your gpa may not hurt your chances but it won't help either in its present form.

dude thats so much help...thanks so much...the fact that i have a shot is consolation in itself..stanford wasnt even one of my top choices until a bit a go when i went to check it out...its so nice there...cornell and stanford are my tops right now

Vissanik makes sense. Your ECs are pretty good, too.
