yeah completely agree on the seniorits and it being incomparable to junioritis or any other itis. i dont care anymore. in two of my classes i just stopped doing anything, the others i might pay attention but hw? yeah right. i spend my afternoons listening to music and reading, my weekends hanging out, and my nights to talking. and it is unbearable. every class seems pointless and i have to urge myself to make it to class on time. i have not been to a single spanish or calc class on time since december.

So it seems like everyone REALLY wants to get out of high school.

But has anyone ever realized that college IS still school, and that it’ll be HARD and probably SUCK?

Yeah, I totally understand Senioritis is COMPLETELY different than Junioritis…but heres my siutation.
Like so many, i’m in a leadership role this year (junior year). On top of that I have homework, a job etc. Already, its march and I am so worn out and exhausted beacause of school, homework…ASB, being in charge of stuff at school etc. I am so incredibly ready to move onto senior year, and be able to slack off. Because I feel as if its worse than senioritis right now, beacuase there IS NO option to slack off. 2nd semester junior year is my last chance to shine, and its horribly tiring.

I have no leadership or EC whatsoever and it’s still tiring xD

seriously if you’re not a senior, you don’t have any sort of itis. get over it. you haven’t earned the right to have an itis! wait until you earn that right. wait until you have nothing to do in class but think about college next year… WAIT, you’ll get your turn. then you can get the itis… until then shut up and stop *****ing, because you haven’t been in school as long as the seniors… WE EARNED THE RIGHT

OHNINE!

College >>>>>>>>>>>> HS

I don’t have experience with either senioritis or junioritis (yet), but I would imagine junioritis would be worse. Junior year everyone expects you to work hard, while senior year (especially S2), no one really expects much from you.

They’re both bad in their own ways.

But I hate how this year (junior year) is going to be the most important one on my transcript so I can’t really slack off. Like someone said before me, it’s our chance to shine. And I can’t get through a week of school without someone reminding me of that.

Senior year is just lack of motivation because it seems so pointless to be in high school when you know where you’re going for college. It’s still horrible to sit through houuuurs of classes. They just drag out and last forever. I feel like this already in some of my classes…like time just won’t go by fast enough! ANd I’m just a junior so I can’t imagine how the seniors go through it each day.

Stercus, I think this second term senior wasteland can be used a bit proactively, and to fight boredom, I’d recommend doing stuff like learning a new musical instrument, forming a band, getting into a new type of computer game, meeting a crap ton of new people, learning cool stuff that will help you, etc. Teachers generally won’t understand that; I am lucky to have one chem teacher who has been giving me some really good reading materials and letting me do some experiments in her lab, and that makes this term so much easier.

But it’s still hell; I’m having more fun than ever outside of school, but school just drags.
