i'm feeling kind of funky because a lot of my senior friends have gotten into college and have decided where to go, and in a little bit it's going to be our turn

i'm going away for most of the summer anyway so i feel like after sat's and ap tests and finals subside (that time will go quickly, i am sure), it'll just be a nice summer and then a sudden return to actually applying somewhere

also...if i catch a glimpse of some really legit junior on here posting stats or something to some schools i want to apply to, it's SO WEIRD for me to imagine that these are the people that will probably cause the thin envelope to come to my mailbox :)

ANYWAY. anyone else feeling weird that we're so close?

I’m not a junior, but I’m jealous of you guys. Twenty-ten has got to be the coolest-sounding class year yet…

Rachael, you traitor… 2011 all the way.

To the OP: I have the same feeling, seeing you juniors’ junior year and impending senior year…thinking that’s what I’m going to go through next year and the year after. 'Tis is life, I suppose.

I’m just excited for the AP grind to be over and summer and senior year to be here. Finally some fun in my life after this insane Junior year.

12th grade is weird because so many of the friends you had are no longer at the school. It makes it feel like school just fizzles out after 13 years.

i can’t imagine how nice it must be to be a second semester senior
(grades can DROP! within reason, but still…)

this year is kind of deathly

I just need to get through AP exams and then it’ll be amazing. I feel like once those are over…and the SAT IIs in June…time is just going to fly by. Plus, I’m quite excited about college applications, this summer, and senior year. So…basically, I’m dreading AP exams but as soon as they’re over, the good life starts. Excited. Just one more month.

Geez. I can’t imagine all the seniors leaving. All headed to different places. And I can’t believe WE’RE going to be in that position next year.

And I agree. We have the best sounding class year ever. :)

how cliche. “great minds think alike.” but pretty much everything that everyone else has posted went through my mind. 2010 is amazing, but junior year blows considering there’s so much work and pressure. I want APs and SATIIs to be over, and I can’t wait until I’m a second semester senior. It’s so stressful right now, but I’m so excited for…everything!

^YES! That’s how I feel. Except I’m just excited for the start of senior year. The second-semester is going to be great and all but I think the first semester is still going to be pretty fun.

In my high school, it’s only 10-12th grade so juniors are stuck in the middle. Which kinda sucks. This year is not bad…it’s just too stressing. AH. I hate AP exams. I feel sooo behind. I haven’t even started studying yet and I really need to. It looks like I’m going to learn all of macro and microecon in about a month (I have NO idea what has been going on in class like all year). Crap.

oh nine, is definitely the coolest sounding class name.

fin.

Yes. Now I have to visit colleges, schedule interviews, keep track of deadlines… I’ve waited for this for years, but it still seems like it’s too soon. It’s going to be strange to be a senior! It was just yesterday (not literally) when my class was a bunch of freshmen that sat down during pep rallies…

I really, really want to get to 12th grade ASAP, though. I had some awesome classes this year, but next year is going to be even better! :D

Oy it’s frightening to know we’re the next wave to have to go through the college applications process.

I know how great, currently on 4th marking period. After summer we will most likely be applying to universities and preparing to experience collegee life, finding out where we will be spending the majority of 2010-2014. All of this seems to be going by really soon.

I knoow. Time is going by way too fast already. I feel like I need another year to prepare for AP exams. Oh well, at least that means AP exams will be over before I know it.

I can’t BELIEVE junior year is almost over. As much as I complain about some of my classes, it unbelievable that it’s the 4th quarter…and that we’ll be in different classes soon. We just chose our classes for senior year…and it was quite a sad event. We were all really upset that this would be the last time we would do this again.

AHHH. I still can’t believe that last year, I was just entering high school (ours is from 10-12th grade) and scared about losing my way to class :)

And before we know it, we’ll be working on our college applications. And waiting on our decisions…

I can’t believe we’re next.

I know this is great. 12th grade alone will be a interesting/ new experience.

hell yea go class of 2010 class of X
XXX
though my class in my school sucks
ill prob apply to hypsmccjbw how bout you guise?
im ready to ■■■■ of here

I’m stoked for senior year just because it’s the last year. I’m not looking forward to the college application process though. I’ve seen the seniors this year and they were so stressed out they looked like raccoons due to lack of sleep. This girl I know got into dartmouth college, nyu, and tufts. And another kid got into Princeton. I just want junior year to end already it’s making me so anxious!

i feel like we just need to get over that hump of may finals, ap tests, sats and then everything will be LOADS better.

where are you guys thinking of applying?

^Haha good description with the hump. But yes, I just want may to be over. I have SAT IIs in June but I’ll have studied for my AP exams by then and I’ll just need some review and a some practice tests. Not too stressful since everything calms down after AP exams and I’ll have no hw after school. Yay.

I don’t know why I’m looking forward to college apps. I guess it’s just exciting because it’s sorta the start of the next chapter of our lives. I probably won’t like it as much once I get started on them though :)

I’ll apply to some Ivies. Just the ones I really like…which unfortunately is a lot of them so I’m trying to cut some out. Georgetown, Duke, WashU, Vanderbilt, maybe Rice, UCBerkeley, maybe UNC, UMich, the state school (safety, applying to get a full scholarship so if the others don’t work out, I’ll have a good option to fall back on). Stanford. Northwestern, UChicago. Man, I just like so many schools. I REALLY need to shorten my list. Hopefully with a little more research, I can cut some out. What about you guys?
